cedar decks and secure storage

This project involved three separate decks which completed a renovation/addition in the Glebe.

In order to maximize utility of the yard, a secure storage area was built underneath the main level deck. It is accessed by a simple door for daily use, and a larger sliding door for other applications.

The second level deck "floats" above an addition and is a semi-sheltered space which provides shade on warm summer days.

The top level deck is a small retreat which offers beautiful views of the adjacent park. 

​

For this project we finished the storage area in a board and batten style to complement the existing theme of the addition. Custom metal and glass railings were added to each level, and a quick update of the mudroom access stairs completed the scope of work for this project.
